Diamond Splash was established in 2013 to provide a ‘hands on‘ financial advisory service to entrepreneurs and small to mid-sized companies.
Our principal services are:

- Peter Coyne will consider Non-Executive Director appointments in a personal capacity.
Our work is focused on companies that find themselves:
- On a growth trajectory in need of third party advice to thoughtfully plot the strategy and plan its execution;
- Stalled or at a crossroads and needing an independent critique of the options for and implications of moving forward;

Founder
Peter Coyne graduated as a Civil Engineer before joining Arthur Andersen & Co. in 1980 where he became a Chartered Accountant. With Arthur Andersen for 9 years Peter managed the company investigation and insolvency practice. Subsequently, Peter spent over 20 years as a Director of AIB Corporate Finance leading many large and small corporate finance transactions:
- Acquisition, Disposal and Joint Venture transactions;
- Restructuring and Refinancing;
- Developing Corporate Strategy;
- LBOs + MBOs;
- Fundraising – Debt and Equity;
- IPOs;
- Making and Defending Company Takeovers Offers.
In recognition of his skills and experience Peter was awarded the ‘Corporate Finance’ qualification designation from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
Peter qualified as a CEDR Accredited Mediator in February 2014. His long experience in commercial negotiation and resolving complex commercial issues and disputes through his career has equipped him to work in the area of alternative dispute resolution with a principal focus on commercial mediation.
Peter is a non-executive director and audit committee chairman of Trinity Biotech plc, a NASDAQ listed company with over $500m market cap developing and manufacturing diagnostic tests in a number of geographies for sale in markets across the globe.
Peter joined the Board of Ark Life Assurance Company Limited in March 2013 which role carries Central Bank of Ireland approval. Peter is a member of the audit committee of Ark. Ark, originally the bancassurance operation of AIB, was closed to new business in 2012 with 270,000 policyholders and €4bn of assets under management. In 2014 Ark was acquired by Guardian Financial Services a company supported by Cinven, the major European private equity firm.
Peter was awarded a Certificate of Merit on completion of the Director Development Programme run by the Institute of Directors in Ireland.
